2022: National Trust tightens the rules on grouse shooting

In a stepping stone for wildlife, the National Trust introduced sweeping reforms of grouse shooting on the High Peak Estate. It no longer allows the burning of peat moorland, trapping or snaring of wild animals to increase grouse numbers for shooting, or the use of environmentally-damaging medicated grit.
